Paige Green

Photographer

Paige Green is a documentary photographer in Petaluma, California. In 10 years of photographing, she’s specialized in documenting communities confronting change. Those include Reidville, South Carolina, a farming community trading in its farm land for manufacturing plants, strip malls and giant homes; Dallas, Texas which is working to create a vibrant, urban downtown to draw in people from the sprawling outskirts; and a house boat community in London forced to move from the Marina where its docked for generations to make way for Olympics redevelopment. Paige holds a master’s degree in documentary photography and photojournalism from The University of the Arts London and a bachelor’s degree in geography from The University of Georgia. She has worked with Marin Agricultural Land Trust, Urban ReVision, Habitat of Humanity, Equality California and many other community and non-profit organizations. Her documentary photography is featured in two books, “Field Days” by Jonah Raskin, which documents Sonoma County farming culture; and “Gathering Color” by Rebecca Burgess, which depicts using native plants to make natural dyes. And Paige documents what she encounters everyday on her blog, Somewhere Between a Handshake and Two Kisses” found at paigegreen.wordpress.com.
